Laura has experience working across major programmes in both local government and the private sector. She is an expert in providing robust business cases and has provided valued support for local authority projects of over £500m of spend. Her experience includes detailed appraisal and review of portfolios and council owned assets to determine short-, medium- and long-term plans for retention, disposal or change of use. She has undertaken this for social care and housing programmes, including care homes, SEND provision and temporary accommodation (TA). With direct experience in local government as well as a background in public sector consultancy, Laura brings a diverse skill set and a strategic approach to optimising public assets, fostering innovation, and identifying opportunities for income generation that support long-term financial sustainability. She has worked on several investment and growth initiatives, including development of community wealth funds and impact investing programmes.
